David Goorevitch's multi-layered images of urban life capture the limbo space between reality and our dreams where people exist. What we see there is sometimes crushing, sometimes comic loss of mankind's position in the spaces he inhabits. These metaphors reveal our place in the city and our lives - simultaneously part of, and distinct from, the spaces we walk through. In this set of 17 photographs, all of which are taken with a single shot as straight photography, the viewer is invited to stand in the limbo world he co-inhabits with the subjects of these photos.
From 1982 to 2006, David was a filmmaker and broadcaster.
Since returning to exhibiting his photography in July 2006, he has mounted 14 shows at nine venues, and has been invited to show his work at Vistek this May for Contact 2010.
David is represented by PI Fine Art.
